Information for Outstation Parents
Your son or daughter is embarking on a transforming educational experience at NILA. Thank you for supporting your child through the planning process. Staff at NILA is available to offer advice, before, during and after completion of program to the students.
If your son or daughter is considering a outstation educational experience, you probably have several questions and concerns. NILA appreciates your interest in your child’s decision to take part in the educational adventure of a lifetime and we are happy to assist you at any time.
NILA has collaborations with various Paying guest owners who offer separate PG facilities for boys and girls. We assist our students with finding hygienic and vibrant rental paying guest accommodations in vicinity of the campus in Gurgaon.
Communicating with Your Child
There are many methods to stay in touch with your child while outstation: telephone, e-mail or Skype are some of the ways of communication. Students can choose to purchase a local phone card for local and national use.
Students can add credit to the pre- paid phone cards online, at a mobile phone service provider, at grocery stores, and at convenience stores. E-mail access is available in Gurgaon, either through campus computer labs, a student’s own laptop, or cyber cafes.
Health & Safety
NILA has staff and resources to assist your son or daughter. At the time of orientation NILA provides your child with information and resources geared towards health and safety.
It is the responsibility of the student to make practical arrangements that address any special medical needs, such as dietary restrictions, allergies, medical prescriptions, psychological treatments and physical disabilities. In addition, students should verify that any needed medical supplies or prescriptions are available in Gurgaon and if not, make plans to carry supplies with them. Students should travel with medications in their hand luggage, in their original bottles/packaging, along with a copy of their original prescription. We strongly encourage our students to bring a letter from a doctor at home that includes details about any on going medical treatment.
While studying at NILA, your child will be subject to the college policies and codes of conduct. During the orientation process, copies of the policies applicable to the students will be given to them.
Thank you for your interest in NILA (National Institute of Learning and Academics).
We look forward to learning more about you. Request information for any of our programs to ensure that you receive important announcements from NILA for your particular programs of interest.
