B.Sc in Fashion Design

Duration: 3 years

Throughout history, fashion has greatly influenced the fabric of societies all over the world. What people wear often characterizes who they are and what they do for a living. As Coco Chanel once said Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.

Today, the fashion industry is a 2.5 Trillion Dollar global industry, where fashion designers, manufacturers, merchandisers, and retailers from all over the world collaborate to design, manufacture, and sell clothing, shoes, and accessories.

The industry is characterized by short product life cycles, erratic consumer demand, an abundance of product variety and complex supply chains.

In this Spotlight, NILA (National Institute of Learning and Academics) looks at equipping young learners with the necessary practical and job oriented skills, required to face the glamorous fashion industry. Our pedagogy empowers them to innovate, think and successfully apply their creative talent to their future careers. In addition, NILA also opens up exciting opportunities to undertake internships and part-time placements with impressive experienced practitioners from the industry. Our vision is to create young professionals who are aware of their choices and are capable of functioning in the dynamic international scene.
